Molnar Precision Limited - Team Molnar Manx

In these difficult economic times, perhaps we should not be complaining, but in 2010 our sales were 16% up on 2009, which were 28% up on 2008, so a growth of 50% in two years with no extra manpower. It is not surprising that we are struggling to find time to go racing!

In 2011, we will be racing at selected CRMC events where Steve Tomes will continue to ride the 500cc 95 Bore and the 350cc T3 with its ultra short stroke engine. We are sure that Steve will have some good results, but due to him not doing all the rounds, it is inevitable that he won't figure highly in the final championship standings. Young Richard will also be riding one of our Manxes in the parades.

The Lansdowne series for standard specification pre 1963 bikes has sadly lost the support race status at the British Superbike rounds. This is despite the Lansdowne boys putting on a superb display of close racing on the track. It seems it is rather more to do with our low key paddock presence - too many vans and caravans amongst all the fancy BSB artics! Unfortunately this also means that we have lost the TV coverage for our sport. However the racing continues and we have an even stronger team this year with Steve Tomes, Chris Firmin and Vanni Jenson all riding standard 86mm 500cc Molnar Manxes, whilst Andy will continue to ride his little 350 Manx. We will also provide technical support for Chris Palmer's foray into the Lansdowne series on Ian Garbutt's Molnar manufactured G50 - after all the 7R/G50 bikes parts supply is an integral part of our business.
